Meet Jane Doe

I’m Jane Doe, a qualified and accredited counsellor based in London, offering a warm, confidential, and non‑judgemental space where you can explore what’s going on in your life. My aim is to support you in understanding your experiences, reconnecting with yourself, and finding a way forward that feels grounded and authentic.

I believe that therapy works best when you feel safe, respected, and truly heard. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, trauma, grief, or simply feeling overwhelmed, I’m here to walk alongside you at a pace that feels right for you.

My Approach

My work is trauma‑informed, client‑centred, and rooted in the belief that every person has the capacity for growth and healing. I draw from several therapeutic models, allowing me to tailor sessions to your individual needs rather than taking a one‑size‑fits‑all approach.

I offer:

  • A calm, supportive environment
  • Space to explore your thoughts and feelings
  • Gentle guidance to help you make sense of your experiences
  • Tools and strategies to support emotional regulation and resilience

My goal is to help you feel more connected to yourself, more empowered in your choices, and more able to navigate life’s challenges.

EMDR Therapy

I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence‑based therapy that helps the brain process traumatic or overwhelming experiences. EMDR can be particularly helpful if you feel stuck, triggered, or weighed down by memories that still feel “alive” in the present.

Many clients find EMDR helps them:

  • Reduce emotional intensity
  • Feel calmer and more grounded
  • Gain clarity and perspective
  • Move forward with greater ease

If you’re curious about EMDR, I’m happy to talk through what it involves and whether it might be a good fit for you.

Qualifications & Professional Membership

I am a fully qualified counsellor and an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP Accred). Accreditation means my training, experience, and ongoing professional development have been rigorously assessed and meet recognised professional standards.

I am committed to:

  • Regular supervision
  • Continued professional development
  • Ethical, safe, and confidential practice

Your wellbeing is always at the centre of the work we do together.

Why I Do This Work

I became a counsellor because I believe deeply in the power of being truly listened to. Many of us move through life carrying experiences we’ve never had the chance to process, name, or understand. Therapy offers a space where those experiences can be explored with compassion and without judgement.

It’s a privilege to support people as they reconnect with their strengths, rediscover their voice, and begin to see themselves with greater clarity and kindness.

A Space to Be Yourself

My practice is designed to feel calm, private, and welcoming — a place where you can take a breath, slow down, and simply be yourself. Whether you’re new to therapy or returning after some time away, you’re very welcome here.
